LAWS OF CLARKSON CUP DAY



The Laws of Clarkson Cup Day

 

  1. The Clarkson Cup will be held on Sunday August 27th.

  2. All teams play on Clarkson Cup day, and it is the last game of the season for everyone.

  3. After your game is over, please proceed to the south field of Clarkson Secondary School (2425 Bromsgrove Road) for pizza and cold drinks, and for trophies to be handed out.)

  4. Game times and locations are posted on our club's web site, and also distributed to the coaches prior to game day.  Therefore, coaches and teams should check our website for finalized schedules.

  5. Coaches must return nets (both standard mesh and pop-up, depending on division), pegs and straps (for those that were issued them), and collapsible pylons.

  6. Game format for Clarkson Cup day as below:

  1. Games other than the championship final are friendlies, and can end in a tie.

  2. The championship finals cannot end in a tie, and will proceed directly to penalty kicks to determine a winner. Penalties are best of 5 and must be taken by players on the field at the end of regulation play. Goalkeeper must be the same player that was in net at the end of regulation play. If there is still a tie after the first five penalty kicks, continue in pairs. All players (including the GK) must take one shot before any player can take a second shot.

  3. Coaches: when you arrive at the Clarkson S.S. field, please turn in your equipment—there will be a van at the north side of the field with a volunteer waiting to assist you. Once you have handed in your equipment, please proceed to the tent to pick up your trophies, pizza and drinks, (the volunteer will need to know division, team and coach’s name).
